New Materials Preview: Please join us for a preview of new materials.  The first third of the order is in and processed.  We placed the order on special shelving for your browsing convenience.  We have a printed annotated bibliography in the Media Center and an online copy by subject.  Click below to find new materials in you curriculum area.  These books were ordered from your requests.
Poster Printer:  The Media and Technology Advisory Committee decided that teachers will be allowed 5 free posters per semester.  Additional posters will cost  $5.00 per glossy print and $3.00 per plain paper print.  Students will be required to pay the same rates for any posters printed.  Teachers who do not print posters may give their poster “credits” to other teachers who may have higher usage.  Color Printer:  It was decided that color printing will be free for teachers unless usage grows to be a problem.
Media Center Brochure  Please remember that your Media Center Brochure has confidential information in it.  This should be kept in your desk drawer away from students.
New Desktop Computers:    We have received 57 desktop computers, enough to build two additional labs for your classes. These labs will be housed in E144 and G122. They will be scheduled through the Media Center. The day or period you plan to use the lab, you will check out the room key.  This key must be returned at the end of the day or period (whichever is relevant to your situation).  Student accountability will be required.  Please have students sign the Computer Log prior to use.  This form will be filed in the Media Center.  There are 36 computers in the Media Center, 27 computers in the Media Center Lab, and 25 in E114 and G122.   Students will sit at the same computer no matter which lab they use.  I will keep the forms filed in the Media Center.  Click here for forms.
Please remember that students are not permitted to have food, drinks or chewing gum around computers.  We are so fortunate to have two additional labs, please help us take care of them.  If there is a problem, report it immediately so we can track usage. Projected opening date:  November 13th.    If you see Matt Whittaker, please thank him.  He is working hard to get these labs up and running.

New Laptop Carts:  We will be receiving 2 additional laptop carts with 25 PC Laptops on each. They will be scheduled through the Media Center.  You will check out the cart key through the Media Center. Mr. Nally has graciously agreed to house one laptop cart and the other will be housed in the Media Center.  Students will be asked to sign the Computer Log prior to use.  (See above:  New Desktop Computers) for details.
Graduation Projects:  Eleventh grade English teachers will receive Turnitin Training Friday, Nov. 6th.   Eleventh  grade English students will register with Turnitin Friday, Nov. 7th.  All graduation projects will be turned in through this new plagiarism detection tool.
Office Professional 2007 Matt brought up that all new computers will be equipped with Office 2007.  The Media and Technology Advisory Committee felt that we needed to upgrade current computers to Office 2007 since there are already compatibility problems.  The switch over will go into effect at semester break.
